Tammy Berman

Tammy Berman, Ph.D., has specialized in learning needs analysis and program design for over twenty-five years. She is the Senior Vice President of Design at Socratic Arts, where she oversees and leads projects related to performance improvement for corporations, government, and non-profit organizations, including learning needs analyses, learning program design, and the design of various solutions that enable practitioners to get the help they need when they need it most. Dr. Berman has special expertise in the design of learning-by-doing and Story-Centered learning programs, for both hybrid and in-person workshop settings. Dr. Berman has also helped lead the effort in the development of a suite of authoring tools for web-based program development for Socratic Arts, and has served as the senior designer for several university-level online degree programs. Dr. Berman is co-author of several articles and book chapters on the design of goal-based scenario learning environments. She holds a Ph.D. in the Learning Sciences from Northwestern University.
