The Design

A 2.5-hour facilitated program focused on simple, tactical, inclusive behaviors for participants to implement right away that create belonging, uncover potential bias, and ensure a more inclusive environment for themselves and their teams.

Audience: All firm employees
Skills in Focus: Strategies for having inclusive conversations / giving inclusive feedback, uncovering / overcoming unconscious bias, promoting belonging

The Details

Participants work in large group, small groups, pairs, and individually to reflect on, and discuss, creating dialogue around belonging, uncovering unconscious bias, and implementing inclusive behaviors.

Learners use a program workbook to capture discussion points, answer questions, and make commitments to inclusive behaviors.

A Belonging Balance sheet helps learners think about their own belonging and how to create belonging with others.

Learners work in pairs to share instances of bias and strategies to overcome them. Small groups work through 3-5 realistic scenarios, reflecting on challenges to, and brainstorming resolutions for, inclusion.
