The Design

A 2.5-hour virtual session where learners receive, and practice using, the tools and different methods they need to execute complex tasks and have an opportunity to apply critical thinking to their findings, discuss the rationale behind their decisions, and validate their findings in a life-like, role-play conversation.

Audience: Experienced Consultants and New Senior Consultants
Skills in Focus: Critical thinking; analyzing data; valuation; articulating rationale
Features: Virtual instructor-led training; story-centered learning

The Details

Learners review relevant information about a real-life property just as they would on the job to identify characteristics and conditions that could influence the valuation.

Learners practice using a hands-on Excel Model they use in their real-life work to perform critical reviews, analyses, and revisions of valuations on a variety of asset types.

Learners document the rationale for their decisions, which improves the clarity of their case and their ability to articulate it to their clients.

Learners engage in role-play interviews (with brokers in the field) to practice communication skills and validate property comparables and market assumptions using appropriate guiding- and follow-up questions.
