The Design

A 3.5-hour program for participants to explore their unique identities, as well as watch, discuss, and workshop two common scenarios for lack-of-inclusion moments. Learners find a safe space to share their own challenges, practice giving inclusive feedback, and make commitments to creating a more inclusive environment.

Skills in Focus: Strategies to foster inclusivity and overcome unconscious bias on a daily basis

The Details

A full group discussion on unique identities grounds learners not only in their own, but also their colleagues’, diversity and need for belonging.

Learners watch scenes from two different realistic, animated scenarios featuring key events, situations, and conversations that reflect themes in day-to-day work.

Following each scene, the facilitator leads a guided discussion about lack-of-inclusion moments and ways to better foster inclusivity.

In the closing, learners commit to implementing specific behaviors to create a more inclusive environment of belonging.
