Betsie Nielson

Director of Operations

Betsie Nielson is a Senior Learning Design Manager and Director of Operations at Socratic Arts. Since joining Socratic Arts in 2011, Ms. Nielson has managed the design and development lifecycle for numerous corporate learning projects, including simulation-based programs. Additionally, she has conducted client needs analyses and has led the delivery and implementation of many live learning programs by managing on-site logistics, facilitating train-the-trainer sessions and process coaching.

Ms. Nielson has extensive experience in providing professional development for educators. She holds an M.A. in Curriculum, and worked for 15 years as a secondary English teacher and Department Chair in both virtual and brick-and-mortar schools. She was also a manager for an online tutoring company where she was responsible for overseeing up to 700 tutors and the design and development of virtual onboarding training videos. Ms. Nielson is Board Chair of the board of directors for a local non-profit organization.
